Strategic Leadership

“Strategic leadership” includes all those programs and measures that promote and support good leadership in the company. The St.Gallen Business School’s understanding of leadership includes not only leadership behavior, but also all measures that help make a company manageable. This includes motivated and competent employees.

Human Resources Management (HRM)

Behind this expression lies an understanding of human nature that hardly meets the needs of today’s employees. Employees can no longer be managed. But relationships with employees must be actively managed. Both employees and the company want to benefit from the measures. That’s why we prefer to talk about  Employee Relation Management (ERM) .

A stable relationship with employees is an important cornerstone for the company’s future success.

Strategy Implementation & Change Management

Defining promising strategies is the supreme discipline of company management. But every strategy is only as good as it can be implemented, or as it is later lived and becomes part of the company culture. Executive management means, above all, “implementation”. Knowledge of the prerequisites and possible pitfalls are therefore essential tools for successful managers.

The  strategy events  at SGBS St.Gallen Business School therefore also include implementation topics.

Employer of Choice

If you are not perceived as an attractive employer in the job market, you will find it very difficult to find good employees. In many places, however, the growth of the company is not limited by the sales market, but by the lack of competent employees in sufficient numbers.

A company would do well to actively position itself as an attractive employer on the job market. Complaining about the difficulties in finding good people doesn’t help.

Competencies in personnel recruitment are an important leadership skill and the exchange of experiences in personnel marketing are topics in the SGBS events.
